When the goblin's away…

Zaeni has hit 40, and along with getting plate mail and new swift mount, with 40 points down the Holy tree, he finally has a nice new skill, Holy Shock. I can see it being a way to put out extra healing near instantaneously, or following up with respectable damage using divine favour + Holy Shock.
Anyway, here’s some pugging tips that I picked up along the way to 40:

• PuG early and often, but don’t forget the quests for the instance! A quick run around (if you don’t like checking the wiki) capital cities often give new quests for instances. Plus the loot off instance quest rewards are often much better than what you’d have
• General Healer advice : Call for a mana break when the fight is under control and is about to end!  If I had a silver every time the tank runs off to find new mobs just because his mana/rage is still full without looking at the healer’s mana bar…
• General Tank advice: Always check your healer’s mana bar AND that he’s within line of sight when pulling new mobs!
• General Tank advice 2 : If that hunter/warlock/<new unreleased pet class> decides to tank a mob with his pet, let him. A pet can often  take the punishment from 1 mob by itself if it’s specced right, long enough to come and assist it. Unless of course the hunter pulled more and the others are making a beeline towards the hunter.
• Specific Instance Annoyance: Uldaman. Make sure you designate 1 person to pick up both the Gni’kiv Medallion and  The Shaft of  Tsoi as in a cross server pug, you won’t be able to trade non-conjured items to combine into The Staff of Prehistoria. If 2 people pick each of the items up, you will not be able to summon a boss mob. The Gni’kiv Medallion can be found where the 3 dwarves are and the boss mob trogg Revelosh holds The Shaft of Tsoi.
